Don't See the Vessel
What if the vessel, the M/V Capt. Vic, is not at the dock when I arrive?
Answer:  It is possible that you may arrive at the dock before the vessel arrives for its scheduled departure.  In this instance, don't worry, it will soon be there.  Please wait because other companies won't honor your reservation.  Our vessel is a black and white car ferry with the name Capt Vic on the bow.  If you decide to board another vessel, you will not receive a refund for this purchase.

Arrival Time
How much time do we need to be there in advance?
Answer:  We normally require you to be there 15 minutes before the secheduled departure time.

Passenger Charges
Is there a separate charge for passengers?
Answer:  No, the cost includes passengers, no separate charges.

Reservations
Do we need to make a reservation?
Answer:  Yes, there are approximately 28 available spots on the ferry.  Individuals without tickets are loaded on a first come first served basis.  Passengers with reservations do not have to worry because their space is reserved.

Deck
Do we need to stay in the car?
Answer:  No, you may exit your vehicle and travel to the second deck where there are a limited number of seats.

Duration
How long is the ferry ride?
Answer:  The ferry ride is 25 minutes to 30 minutes in duration. During this time, relax and enjoy the ocean breeze; bring along your camera as I am sure you will love to take pictures of the beautiful views of Pillsbury Sound, the waterway between St. Thomas and St. John.

The M/V Roanoke
Do you own the M/V Roanoke?
Answer:  No, the M/V Roanoke is owned and operated by Global Marine.  If you have any questions concerning their schedule or their prices, you can contact them at 340-779-1739.  Love City Car Ferries, Inc. owns and operates the M/V Capt. Vic, whose tickets, with certain limitations, are interchangeable with the M/V Roanoke of Global Marine.  Despite this exchange of tickets, the companies are separate entities with separte owners and partners.  The exchange of tickets is a courtesy granted to customers.
